1. Data controller

The data controller is Jaime Gayo (jaimegayoneila@gmail.com).

2. What data is processed

• Web analytics (Vercel Web Analytics): page views and aggregated metrics (country, device, operating system). No cookies and no personal identification. Visitors are estimated using a daily hash derived from the request.
• Contact form: the name, email and message you submit. These are sent to Web3Forms so they reach my inbox and I can reply.
• Browser local storage (localStorage): cursor preference; in Spider Run, personal score (HI), continue-quiz question history (technical IDs, no personal answers), recent quiz domain and a “version ad seen” flag. Everything stays on your device only. The global (WORLD) record sends the score and a signed run ticket to the server (anti-abuse; no name or personal identifiers).
• Hosting technical data: the site is hosted on Vercel; standard infrastructure access logs (IP, user-agent, etc.) may be recorded as part of their operation.

3. Purpose and legal basis

• Analytics: understand portfolio usage (legitimate interest in measuring traffic in an aggregated, privacy-respecting way).
• Contact: respond to your message (performance of your request / legitimate interest in answering professional enquiries).
• Local preferences and game state: remember cursor, personal record, continue-quiz variety and whether you have seen the version notice (legitimate interest / site functionality; non-identifying data in your browser).
• Global game record: maintain an anonymous high-score leaderboard (legitimate interest in the portfolio experience).

4. Cookies

This site does not use tracking cookies. Vercel Web Analytics does not set cookies. That is why no cookie consent banner is shown.

There may be local storage (localStorage) for interface preferences and Spider Run mini-game state, which is not equivalent to advertising or profiling cookies.

5. Processors and transfers

The following may act as service providers:

• Vercel Inc. — hosting and web analytics (USA). More information: Vercel Analytics privacy policy.
• Neon (via Vercel / serverless database) — storage of Spider Run's anonymous global record (score number only).
• Web3Forms — contact form delivery. See their policy at web3forms.com/privacy.

Where international transfers occur, they rely on safeguards offered by those providers (standard contractual clauses or other applicable mechanisms).

6. Retention

• Contact messages: as long as needed to reply and, where appropriate, maintain a professional relationship.
• Analytics: according to retention configured in Vercel (aggregated data).
• localStorage: until you clear it in the browser or reset site preferences.

7. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable by writing to jaimegayoneila@gmail.com.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated if data processing changes. The update date appears at the top of this page.
